I bought my first cell phone in August of 2000. I am still using that StarTAC to this day. Going to get a smartphone perhaps when the Blackberry Bold comes to Sprint or if the Apple SDK results in the new iPhone sucking less.

iPods are for out of the house, physical media is for inside the house, unless you've ripped losslessly and can stream it from your computer (bypassing the poor D/A converter in the iPod). I think too many folks are losing site of quality these days. I've got around 1300 CDs and growing all the time. I'll never get rid of them. Perhaps I'll box up my cassette tapes which I don't have a corresponding CD for, and the few vinyls I have have already been bought on CD, but I'd never get rid of those, either.
